Tom Hadrava owns All Angles REM, a real estate and commercial photography, videography, and drone media company based in Nokomis, Florida, with a service area stretching across Southwest Florida and into Northern and Southern Minnesota. The company handles the visual side of a property listing end to end: photography, drone imagery, 360-degree virtual tours, floor plans, and video walkthroughs, all built around helping a listing sell faster.

Hadrava spent most of his career in IT management before making the switch. "With nearly two decades of experience in IT management across various industries, from manufacturing to nonprofits, small businesses, and large enterprises, I've always had a passion for technology," he has said of the shift. "This passion led me to explore the world of drones and 360-degree photography." That background shows up in how the business is run today, less like a solo photographer juggling bookings, more like a small, organized operation built to not drop the ball on a busy shoot day.
The move wasn't a sudden pivot so much as a slow build. Hadrava has described spearheading the company's expansion into Nokomis and the surrounding Southwest Florida area as a direct extension of the same drive that carried him through two decades in IT, taking on a new technical skill set and building something from it rather than staying in a role that had become comfortable. That pattern, picking up a new discipline and running with it until it becomes a real business, shows up more than once in how All Angles REM has grown, and it's part of why the company reads less like a hobby that turned into a side hustle and more like a second career built with the same seriousness as the first one.
From IT manager to real estate media
Before founding All Angles REM, Hadrava worked in IT roles spanning firewalls, Windows Server administration, help desk support, and Cisco networking, including time with IKONICS Corporation in Duluth, Minnesota, a manufacturing company where he supported roughly 50 employees across headquarters and satellite locations.
That systems-first background is part of what separates All Angles REM from a single photographer with a camera and a drone license. The company runs its booking process through an online store rather than one-off texts or emails to a single person, a structure Hadrava built specifically so a job request alerts the whole team at once instead of getting missed in one inbox.
That same discipline shows up in turnaround time. All Angles REM guarantees delivery by the end of the next business day, with same-day delivery available on request for smaller or time-sensitive jobs. For a real estate agent trying to get a new listing online fast, that kind of predictability matters as much as the quality of the photos themselves. It's a detail that speaks to the IT background more than the photography background: uptime, reliability, and a process that doesn't rely on one person remembering everything.
The company also runs its own referral program, crediting existing clients $100 toward future work whenever a referred customer books a package. It's a small structural choice, but one that fits the same pattern: rather than relying purely on cold outreach or ad spend, All Angles REM leans on word-of-mouth from realtors and homeowners who've already used the service, then backs that up with a system that makes it easy to track and reward.
A team built around more than one set of hands
All Angles REM isn't a one-person operation. Hadrava leads a small team that includes Joe Conaway, a virtual media professional and certified drone pilot who also brings a background in writing and music to the company's video and photography work, and Renae Novak, a former dental assistant turned real estate photographer who made her own career shift into visual media after discovering a passion for drone piloting and photography. That team structure lets All Angles REM take on more complex jobs, marketing kits, social media reels, agent headshots, and full property media packages, without leaning on Hadrava alone for every shoot.
Conaway's path into the business is its own example of the same career-shift pattern that defines the company. He holds a degree in writing and English and has a background spanning music, programming, and art before becoming a certified drone pilot in 2023 and joining All Angles REM's video and photography work. Novak's background is similarly unconventional for the industry, moving from dental assisting into entrepreneurship across daycare, real estate, and event rentals before landing on photography and drone work as her focus. Between the three of them, the team brings a mix of technical, creative, and small-business backgrounds that doesn't look like a typical photography studio roster.
The company is fully licensed and insured for all of its services, covering everything from standard listing photography up through drone work and commercial media packages. That combination of licensing, insurance, and a multi-person team is worth noting in an industry where plenty of competitors are a single freelancer with a camera and no backup plan if something falls through on shoot day. For a realtor coordinating a listing on a tight timeline, knowing a second team member can step in if a schedule conflict comes up is the kind of reliability that doesn't show up in a portfolio but matters just as much as the finished photos.
Serving two very different markets
All Angles REM's footprint is unusual for a real estate media company: Southwest Florida and Northern Minnesota, with service areas including Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, North Port, and Fort Myers on the Florida side, and Duluth, Ely, Virginia, Hibbing, and the Minneapolis area on the Minnesota side. That split isn't an accident of expansion. It reflects Hadrava's own life, splitting time between Nokomis, Florida, where he now lives full-time with his wife Mykle, a registered nurse, and their three kids, and Northern Minnesota, where he spent most of his career before the move south.
Running a business across two states that far apart, and with genuinely different real estate markets, seasonal patterns, and client expectations, isn't the easiest path to scale a photography company. A lake property listing in Ely, Minnesota, and a condo listing near Fort Myers call for a different eye and a different shooting approach, and Hadrava has built the company's service offerings, marketing kits, virtual tours, and drone packages to be flexible enough to work for both without feeling like two separate businesses stitched together.
Florida's real estate season tends to peak in the cooler winter months when snowbirds and buyers are actively touring, while Minnesota's market moves on its own seasonal rhythm tied to warmer weather, meaning a two-market footprint can actually smooth out the boom-and-bust cycle a single-market photography business might otherwise feel.
The company is also a member of the CubiCasa photographer network, which it uses to produce precise floor plans alongside its photography and video work, giving agents an accurate layout to pair with the visual media. Between the two-state service area and the floor plan partnership, All Angles REM has built a footprint that looks more like a regional operation than a single local photographer, even though it started as exactly that.
