Veteran Epoxy Solutions Installed More Than 100 Floors Across Tampa Bay

Most epoxy floors fail because somebody skipped the grinding, not because the coating was cheap. Veterans Epoxy Solutions built a 24-year trade record on the part everybody else rushes.

Most garage floors in Florida fail the same way. Somebody rolls on a coating from a big-box store over concrete that was never ground down. It looks great for a season, then the tires lift it in patches, and the whole thing peels. Veterans Epoxy Solutions LLC built its business on the part that gets skipped: the prep.

The company is veteran-owned, licensed and insured, and works the corridor from Tampa south to Port Charlotte, which puts Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties in range. Its team brings 24 years in the flooring trade, and the work runs from a two-car garage to a 15,000-square-foot warehouse floor. The company's stated mission goes past the floors. It's built around giving back to the veteran community, and that shows up in who they hire and what they support.

The work Veterans Epoxy Solutions takes on

Epoxy and resin flooring for three kinds of space: residential, commercial, and industrial.

On the residential side that means garages, driveways, lanais and patios, basements, kitchens, and living areas. Homeowners come to them for a surface that shrugs off oil, water, and daily wear and cleans up with a mop. On the commercial side it's retail, offices, and restaurants, where the floor has to survive foot traffic and constant cleaning without breaking down. Industrial work covers warehouses, manufacturing floors, and distribution centers built for forklifts, heavy equipment, and chemical exposure.

They also do countertops and custom resin pours, which is a different kind of job from a warehouse bay but uses the same materials knowledge. Their project photos include poured dining tables and a blue translucent coffee table, so the resin work is not a sideline they mention and never do.

By the company's own count, more than 100 floors have gone in across the Tampa to Port Charlotte corridor.

Why epoxy holds up on Florida concrete

Epoxy is a coating applied over concrete. It bonds to the slab and cures into a seamless surface that resists stains, chemicals, and heavy traffic. No grout lines, no seams for water to get under, which matters in a climate that pushes moisture up through concrete year round.

That moisture is the quiet problem with Florida slabs. Water wicks up from below and pops a coating loose from underneath. Veterans Epoxy Solutions handles it by using an epoxy based moisture vapor barrier as the base coat, which blocks the moisture before it reaches the finish layer.

Epoxy and polyaspartic do different jobs

A good floor usually has both of them working in tandem. Epoxy is the base. Polyaspartic goes on top as the wear layer, because it cures faster, stands up to UV, and takes more abuse over the long run. That combination is what the company uses, and it's a big part of why a professional floor behaves differently from a weekend kit.

Hot tire pickup is the clearest example. A cheap DIY coating lifts where warm tires sit on it. Professional flake epoxy and polyaspartic systems are built to resist that.

How the installation runs with Veterans Epoxy Flooring from start to finish

Three steps, and the middle one is where most of the final outcome is decided.

First is a free consultation. They look at the space, the traffic it takes, and what finish you're after. Second is site prep: diamond grinding the concrete, repairing cracks and damage, and moisture testing. Cracks and chips are not a disqualifier, they get repaired during this stage. Third is installation, applied in coats with the system matched to the space.

Timelines depend on scope. A small residential job can wrap in a day or two. Larger commercial and industrial floors take longer, mostly because of the prep. Quotes are priced per square foot after the free estimate, based on floor size, the condition of the concrete, the coating system, and any custom design work.

Veterans Epoxy Solutions Service Areas

The service area runs Tampa to Port Charlotte, covering coastal and inland communities across four counties. They travel to the job site, so if you are inside that corridor, they will come out and quote the work.

Being veteran-owned, the company's mission statement puts it in terms of integrity, hard work, and giving back, with specific dedication to supporting veterans. It hires veterans when it can and backs veteran causes through the business. For a homeowner choosing between three quotes that all look similar on paper, that's a real tiebreaker, and it's the kind of thing worth knowing about a company before you hand them your garage for two days.

Neighbors ask

There's no flat rate, because the price moves with floor size, the condition of the concrete, the coating system, and any custom design work. Most projects are priced per square foot after a free estimate, so the visit comes first and the number comes after they've seen what they're working with.
