Recommended by real neighbors, not paid placements.
We don't pretend to vet every business with a clipboard and a checklist. The community recommendations are the vetting. To keep that trust intact, every business that joins Top Recommends agrees to a short, plain-language pledge.
- 1Treat customers honestly. No bait, no surprise fees.
- 2Deliver what you promise, on time and as described.
- 3Communicate respectfully, even when something goes wrong.
- 4Honor recommendations as a trust, not a transaction.
- 5Stay current with your license, insurance, and credentials.
What this is, and isn't
This page is maintained by Top Recommends to explain how we protect community trust. It is not a certification, a license check, or a legal guarantee. It is a standard we ask every business to honor, and one we can act on when it isn't.
If a member feels a business has broken this pledge, they can privately flag a concern from that business's profile. Reports go to our admin team only, never as public reviews or comments.
When a concern is verified, we can unlist a business quietly. We don't run a public shaming feed; we keep the directory honest.
